After my PhD, I took a Cancer Research Campaign-funded postdoctoral position and a teaching fellowship at the University of Edinburgh. I returned to St Andrews in 2003 on a Research into Ageing personal fellowship, and subsequently an Alzheimer’s Society personal fellowship. I was appointed lecturer in Neuroscience in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience in January 2013.
