Dissertation and thesis printing and binding

Print & Design is ideally set up to print and bind your dissertation or thesis. Printing and/or soft binding can normally be carried out while you wait, however this may not be guaranteed during busy times particularly when large numbers of students require their dissertations to be printed and/or bound.

Useful information on how to prepare your thesis can be found at:

For printing and binding, the easiest option is to send your dissertation or thesis electronically to us at least two days (not including weekends) before the submission deadline.

 Specific instructions for:

Our Design Unit at St Katharine's West can print and bind for you. We print onto 100gsm high quality digital paper and then soft bind using the Unibind method. If you prefer to print a document yourself, you can bring the prints to St Katharine's West to be Unibound, usually while you wait.

Our Print Unit at 65 North Street provides a fabric spine soft binding service in St Andrews blue, usually while you wait. Hard case binding takes longer - please allow three days after you have submitted your printed thesis.
