SUPA Prize Studentships

SUPA studentships at St Andrews

We welcome PhD applicants of all nationalities to apply for a SUPA prize studentship, with St Andrews as the host university. Please identify a research area and contact a prospective supervisor to discuss potential projects before writing your application.

Candidates considering the SUPA Prize Studentship scheme should note that there are other routes to apply for PhD opportunities at St Andrews.

St Andrews is part of the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA), which is a research based collaboration amongst Scotland's university physics departments. SUPA offers Prize Studentships for PhDs in physics and astronomy. These are prestigious and competitive awards which are intended to attract outstanding physics students from around the world, irrespective of nationality, to study for a PhD in Scotland. The studentships provide support for tuition fees and a maintenance grant of at least the RCUK rate for a three-and-a-half-year period. The deadline for applications is the end of January.
