Methodology

 

The interface of chemistry and physics is explored with research on hybrid nanocolloid particles, often combining experimental contributions with theory or simulations.

Interdisciplinary experience covers nanoparticles (nPs) synthesis and characterisation, near-field optical microscopy (NFOM), polymers, ionic and polymeric surfactants, supercritical fluids, photo-physical spectroscopy and molecular dynamics.

Whether to develop or access new technique and instruments, collaboration is a key component of our strategy and along with appropriate communication is crucial to the success of research projects ranging from inorganic chemistry, the investigation and tuning of material physical properties to medical science.
