Ultrafast molecular dynamics

Pictured is the emission from an iridium OLED material in a femtosecond upconversion spectroscopy experiment. Observing ultrafast luminescence dynamics of these materials can tell us how vibrational energy is dissipated within the molecule during the first few hundred femtoseconds after excitation.
