Particle Physics Public Event
The research Summer School being held in our building, organised from the University of Edinburgh, is running a public lecture and set of displays on the evening of 29 August.
Physics and Philosophy Meeting on 11 September
PhysPhil is running a meeting with speakers from the UK and overseas, aiming to discuss space and time, quantum mechanics, and metaphysics.
Prof Wilson Sibbett Doubly Honoured
This summer Wilson Sibbett has been awarded honorary degrees from both Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities in recognition of his major achievements in physics.

Santiago Grigera wins Europhysics Condensed Matter Prize
Dr Grigera is one of a group of six theoretical and experimental physicists to be awarded the 2012 Europhysics Condensed Matter Prize for their work showing that analogues of the magnetic monopole exist in certain magnetic materials.
Research Student Wins SPIE Prize
Bavishna Balagopal has won an SPIE Scholarship for her "merit" and "potential to contribute towards the field of optics and photonics".
Final-year Project Prize Winners Announced
SELEX Galileo has sponsored prizes for final year projects in astrophysics, physics, and theoretical physics.
