Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres for Doctoral Training

The University is a partner institution in a number of Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres for Doctoral Training.

Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres for Doctoral Training are funded by the UK Research Councils and offer an innovative multi-institution environment for doctoral research. Research students benefit from the wider range of research and professional skills development opportunities that are available through these schemes.

As a partner in these Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres for Doctoral Training the University is able to offer full- and part-funded Research Council doctoral studentships to suitably qualified applicants from the UK and EU. In most cases applications are accepted between October and January each year – for further advice, please see the scheme websites:
