Scottish Graduate School of Social Science Student-Led Symposium: Reflecting on the Changing Landscape for PhD Students
10 and 11 May 2018, Glasgow Caledonian University
Hosted by the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS) and organised by the SGSSS student representatives, this two-day event is open to ALL social science doctoral researchers at SGSSS universities - including the University of St Andrews.
The event is free to attend, but only sixty places are available and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is therefore essential - register now online.

UK nationals interested in postgraduate study in Colombia are invited to apply for the 2018 ICETEX Scholarships.
Colombia’s agency in charge of study loans, grants and scholarships for national and international students, ICETEX, has put in place a postgraduate scholarship scheme for foreign professionals interested in pursuing graduate studies at Colombian higher education institutions. UK nationals are eligible for this scheme which presents a new opportunity to increase British student mobility to Colombia and, hence, continue strengthening the growing Colombia-UK collaboration in higher education, science and research.

In this article doctoral student Percy Leung reflects on his experience lecturing to pupils at St Leonards School in St Andrews. Percy was invited to deliver a lecture as part of the Theory of Knowledge course which pupils complete as part of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

New exhibition curated by St Andrews MLitt Museum and Gallery Studies students
Paper Trail is an exhibition that explores the history of paper from ancient times to the present day and across cultures.
The exhibition is organised and curated by students from the St Andrews MLitt Museum and Gallery Studies programme.

Great news to start the new year - three St Andrews doctoral students will be among the inaugural Europaeum Scholars.
Caroline Damgaard (School of Geography and Sustainable Development), Stephanie Haywood (School of Management), and Antonia Niehuss (School of International Relations) were among just thirty doctoral students selected from universities across Europe to be the first Europaeum Scholars.

Great to see so many postgraduates at this year's St Leonard's College Dinner.
Hosted in Lower College Hall by St Leonard's College and the Postgraduate Society the event brings together postgraduates and staff - and is an excuse for everyone to get suited and booted.

In 2017-18 the Graduate School at St Leonard's College is pleased to present a series of seminars taking an interdisciplinary view of leaders and leadership.
This seminars are open to all University of St Andrews staff and postgraduates. Admission is free but places must be booked in advance.
