Programme information

The Professional Skills Curriculum is a programme powered by CEED in conjunction with the Career's Centre and the Students' Association. The PSC and the PSC+ are designed for all students to build skills needed for the modern professional workplace. The programme is self directed and takes the format of a series of weekly seminars and workshops helping you to improve your skills across the board.

Sessions will be delivered by professionals and students, all of whom have extensive real-world experience in the topic of their workshop and will be able to give you the best possible advice.

Begin attending at any point in the year. Booking ahead is not always required. Please see PDMS for details. You are welcome to come along to one, some, or all of the events.

Certification
If you attend eight or more of the sessions and submit a 1,500 word reflective essay to PSC on Moodle, then you will receive a certificate and your achievement will also be added to your transcript.

Please also note, while some of the workshops will be of particular use to society committee members, they are open to anyone to attend and will cover transferrable skills which will hopefully be of use to anyone considering a career in a professional environment.

See PSC or PSC+ or Careers Centre webpages for further information about these programmes, professional development and for how the University can help you unlock your potential.
