Head of Public Engagement with Research
As Head of Public Engagement with Research at the University of St Andrews, Dr Mhairi Stewart has extensive experience in advising and supporting University staff and students in their public engagement activities. Mhairi also manages centrally coordinated public engagement with research projects included the award-winning Cell Block Science and Explorathon for European Researcher’s Night.
Mhairi has a research background of 17 years including postdoctoral positions in Scotland and Germany, moving into a public engagement role while in the Wellcome Trust Centre for Molecular Parasitology. She received the 2015 Royal Society of Edinburgh prize for innovation in public engagement
