Bedding

Bedding is not provided in your room if you are staying in a hall of residence. You have the option of bringing your own bedding with you, buying bedding in St Andrews, or ordering a bedding pack to be placed in your room when you arrive.

Bed sizes

There are three sizes of bed in St Andrews residences:

Single – approximately 3 feet wide (0.91 centimeters)
Large single – 3 feet 6 inches wide (1.09 meters)
Small double – approximately 4 feet wide (1.21 meters)
Double – approximately 4 feet 6 inches wide (1.40 meters)

- All bed sizes are small double except 2 rooms that have single beds (C614 and B714)
David Russell Apartments
- Bed sizes for shared rooms are single
- Bed sizes for single rooms are double
Fife Park – ensuite
- Bed sizes in ensuite rooms are double
- Bed sizes are 3 feet 6 inches wide (106 centimeters). A double duvet and flat sheet are recommended in the following buildings: Monaid, Riggs, Kilrule, Muckross, Chariots and Cathedral
- Bed sizes are single in the following buildings: Garrett, Sellars and Dunlop
John Burnet Hall
- Bed sizes are all single
McIntosh Hall
- Bed sizes are all single
St Regulus Hall
- Bed sizes are all single

Bedding packs

Students can pre-order bedding packs which will be delivered to their room on the day that they arrive. Bedding packs include a bed sheet, pillow, duvet and duvet cover. There are three types of bedding packs available – for double, small double, or single beds. Bedding packs can be bought on the online shop. Quote ANDREW10 to receive a 10% discount.

If you decide to buy bedding once you arrive in St Andrews, local retailers Tesco, Morrisons and Farmore Interiors are likely to sell duvets, pillows and other bed linen.
