The Museums of the University of St Andrews are committed providing access and study facilities for researchers.
Making an appointment
Visiting researchers should make an appointment at least one month in advance of visiting. You should include the information you require for your research project and the objects and collections you wish to view.
Facilities and regulations
When you visit the Collections Centre:
- please bring a form of identification with a photograph, such as a passport, university ID card or driving licence
- you will be asked to complete a registration form on arrival
- please leave your belongings in the lockers
- you will be offered desk space to view objects and to use laptops
- staff will be able to help with any enquiries related to the objects
- please set mobile phone to silent
- please use a pencil when making notes; pens are not permitted to prevent ink from damaging the objects
- you can request photographs of collections for personal use, at a charge, from the Collections Curator; photographic equipment is not permitted in the Collections Centre.
