Undergraduate Handbook: School Guidelines for Honours Dissertations

School Dissertation Coordinator: Dr Marine Ganofsky, mg216@st-andrews.ac.uk

The School Coordinator is your first point of contact for any non-subject-specific queries about dissertation modules across the School.

Departmental Dissertation Coordinators:

The list is currently being updated

Departmental Dissertation Coordinators should be contacted:

  • when you are looking for a potential supervisor
  • if you have subject-specific queries

Dissertation Administrator: please contact the School office, modlangs@st-andrews.ac.uk

Ideally, you should already have chosen your dissertation topic either during the summer break (Semester 1 Short Dissertation; Long Dissertation) or in the course of Semester 1 (Semester 2 Short Dissertation), and have been allocated a supervisor. However, this is not always possible.

If you have not yet done this, you must meet with the Departmental Dissertation Module Coordinator in Week 1 in order to define your topic and be assigned a supervisor.
