Research and Teaching

I joined the School of Modern Languages in August 2016. Prior to coming to St Andrews I taught at Cardiff University and at the University of Hull.

I began my studies at the School for Translators and Interpreters of Trieste (SSLMIT), where I studied English, Spanish, and Serbo-Croatian; I specialized in translation as well as in interpreting. In 2015 I obtained a Masters of Arts in Translation Studies from the University of Hull. I also hold the DITALS level II postgraduate certificate in teaching Italian as a foreign language.

During my studies I became interested in Audiovisual Translation (AVT), foreign language learning, and language pedagogy.

In the department of Italian at St Andrews I teach on all language modules and co-ordinate 1st year language modules (beginners and intermediate). I am Study Abroad Coordinator for the Italian department.
