Research and Teaching

Prior to coming to St Andrews, I worked in graphic design, animation and illustration until 2014, then studied at the University of Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV) where I obtained a Masters degree in English and medieval literature, in 2016.

Having lived in five different countries, I have always been attracted to understanding multilingual environments and the mechanisms of language. My main academic interests lie in language, translation and fantasy literature; other interests include medievalism, film studies, and the use and purpose of games in literature and in language.

I am preparing a PhD in English literature, with a focus on language in fantasy literature.

In the Department of French at St Andrews, I teach language at Sub-Honours and Honours level.
