Research and Teaching

My principal research interests are: post-2000 French literature and other post-2000 literatures in translation; ‘the contemporary’ (theory and methodology); comparative literature; crime fiction. My last monograph was on French crime fiction and WWII (Investigating WWII: French Crime Fiction 1945-2005)

I am currently working on a range of research projects arising from the Leverhulme International Network for Contemporary Studies for which I am PI.
