Lottie Pearce-Slade

Education and experience

Lottie is a first-year PhD student at the university of St Andrews. She has an MA (Hons) from University College London in European History, and a BA (Hons) in Modern and Medieval Languages from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge. Previous work has examined connections between humanist scholarship and the work of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, and ‘mirror-for-princes’ writing of Rabelais and Erasmus. Her PhD research thesis is on the portrayal and exploration of Virtue in sixteenth-century French literature.

Lottie is a recipient of a 600th Anniversary Scholarship.
