WHO collaborating centre for international child and adolescent health policy

The School of Medicine is pleased to collaborate with the World Health Organization (WHO) European Office to support the development and implementation of evidence-based child and adolescent health policy internationally. This work involves: 

  1. Supporting the WHO work in adolescent health using the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study
  2. Contributing to the implementation of WHO Health 2020 by exploring ways of meaningfully engaging with young people to influence policy and the research process.
  3. Support WHO in developing policy and policy dialogue on specific topics of high policy priority on child and adolescent health and well-being in line with Health 2020.
  4. Assisting WHO's work in adolescent health through research on healthcare communication to promote child and young people's health and well-being.
