Exchanges, Year Abroad, Semester Abroad

Study abroad affords students the opportunity to develop a more international perspective on the theory and practice of management as well as enhancing career prospects.

Junior Year Abroad, Semester Abroad, Exchanges, Collaborations

Each year the University welcomes students from America, Europe and throughout the world in their third year of study to enhance their learning and cultural experiences.

University of St Andrews students abroad

Reciprocal arrangements with other universities offer St Andrews students in their third year of study the opportunity to apply for exciting Exchange programmes in Australia, Italy, New Zealand and North America. Exchanges are competitive and students must demonstrate a strong academic record to be considered. Study abroad destinations are reviewed regularly and may change on an annual basis.

Universities currently participating in the Exchange programmes include:

In addition, students following joint degrees in Management with a foreign language who have chosen the 'Integrated Year Abroad' degree path will have the opportunity to pursue their language studies at a wide selection of European organisation and institutions. Please see Collaborations and Study Abroad for further information.

Please note: the School will only accredit modules and programmes at Universities with which the School holds current agreements. The School is seeking to increase the list of such agreements.
Additionally, students are responsible for reviewing the pre-requisites of partner institutions to verify they meet the background required to enrol into the appropriate modules. This is especially critical for those students on the banking and finance track.

Student testimonial

Kathryn - Alumna

Kathryn - England
"During my time at St Andrews I found the flexibility of its courses to be one of the main benefits. I thoroughly enjoyed studying a language alongside Management and feel that in doing so I got the best of two worlds. I even had the opportunity to work in a business in France during an integrated year abroad - although I did miss St Andrews' amazing scenery and the golf!"
