Dr Iain S Henderson has contributed to teaching on MN5481 Masterclasses in Human Resource Management and on the Executive Programmes of the University of St Andrews School of Management. Iain holds BSc and PhD degrees from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from the University of Dundee. Until 2018, he was Senior Teaching Fellow at Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School (EBS).

Iain is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His principal research interest is in management development, and his main teaching is in the areas of organisational behaviour, strategic planning and research methods.

He was formerly Director of Research for Edinburgh Business School and he has published articles on HRM issues in peer-reviewed academic journals including Personnel Review and The British Journal of Occupational Learning.

He is the author of the textbook Human Resource Management for MBA Students, published by the CIPD (now in its 3rd edition), and is co-author with Martin Dowling of the EBS course Managing Personal Competencies.
