Dr Gill Maxwell, BA, PgD, MPhil (by research), PhD (by Published Works), brings to her Honorary Reader role substantial experience as a Reader in Human Resource Management (HRM) at the business school in Glasgow Caledonian University. Her ongoing teaching and active research are centred on strategic HR issues and developments, most recently on employment models in performance-critical jobs. Recent publications include refereed journal articles on the topics of:
- airline pilots' precarious professional employment
- Generation Y careers
- employee skills utilisation.
Dr Maxwell has taught in Spain, Germany, Australia and Singapore; she led the first knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) on HRM in Scotland.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an adjunct academic in the business school at the University of Glasgow. At the University of St Andrews School of Management, she has contributed to MN5481 Masterclasses in Human Resource Management and MN5470 Managing Human Resources modules.
