Students and staff attend HRM conference
School of Management MLitt in Human Resource Management (HRM) students and staff attended the February 2020 student conference on contemporary developments in HRM held in Glasgow.
They were among over 200 delegates at the conference, which was organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Scotland).
At the conference, human resources (HR) practitioners and academics gave talks about the latest trends in:
- fair work
- ethical practices
- the role of the HR Director
- working as a HR professional
- developing positive cultures in the workplace.
Delegates participated in a lively Q&A session with the conference speakers and made the most of spaces for networking.
The conference was a valuable opportunity for students to understand more about the skills and knowledge required to develop a career within the HR profession.
