Researching policy engagement
The Research Unit for Research Utilisation (RURU), based in the School of Management, held an online workshop in September 2020 in collaboration with the newly-formed Scottish Policy and Research Exchange.
The subject of the day was 'Researching policy engagement: what have we learned and where do we go next?'. The welcome and introduction were provided by RURU Co-Director Vicky Ward.
The event featured invited speakers Kat Smith, Mark Monaghan and Nick Bibby. Their pre-recorded conversations touched on topics including long term approaches to policy engagement, the value placed on qualitative research, and the importance of geographical location. The insights shared and challenges raised by the speakers formed the starting points for small group discussions through to the plenary session.
See the RURU website for a report of the event.
