Financial Times quotes researcher on major initiative
Professor Ross Brown from the School of Management has undertaken research on the planned new Scottish National Investment Bank (SNIB). The bank is a major initiative of the Scottish Government which aims to provide patient capital to high growth small and medium-sized enterprises in Scotland. Brown's work has been published by European Planning Studies, in Mission-oriented or mission adrift? A critical examination of mission-oriented innovation.
SNIB has been charged with a mission orientation to help alleviate climate change, economic exclusion and health inequalities. Following the publication of his work on SNIB, Brown featured in a piece published this week by the Financial Times. See the article at Scottish state investment bank set to launch by December.
