Biography and Research Interests

Lorna qualified as a chartered accountant and worked in the financial services industry before moving into academia.  She worked at the Universities of Abertay and Dundee before joining St Andrews in 2012. The social, environmental and economic consequences of accounting, and the implications of these for both wider forms of accountancy and accountants' and managers' education are research interests.  Lorna's research is informed by her professional and education experiences.

Awards

Winner of the Mary Parker Follett Award for 2010 and 'Highly Commended Award Winner' at Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2011 for "Anglo-American Capitalism: the role and potential role of social accounting" D Collison, C Dey, G Hannah, and L Stevenson, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal.
