Research and enquiries
Our outreach to the wider community is constantly evolving and growing as we come up with new ways to engage with the public.
Specialists on our staff are able to offer talks to local community groups on a variety of subjects based around our collections. Many of these are illustrated with beautiful images.
We provide opportunities for groups to engage with our materials, through treasures tours or hands-on workshop sessions. We participate in the educational activity of MUSA, providing sessions to the 'Inspired by …' programme and in support of particular exhibitions. We communicate information about our collections through publications such as the Treasures Book and regular contributions to Alumnus Chronicle as well as the University's internal magazines and website, and we have a lively social media presence and successful blogs.
Moreover, we have mounted many fascinating exhibitions in the past and continue to offer small displays where we can.
