‌The St Andrews collection, developed by the Library during the present century from existing stock and regularly added to, is a large one relating to St Andrews, both town and University. It contains many items of local historical interest and association, including books and pamphlets of all kinds and on all subjects by University and townspeople, as well as ephemeral items relating to student life. There is also a huge amount of local material held within the manuscripts collections.
