Salmond Collection

Images of the Salmond Collection

The Salmond collection comprises around 200 facsimiles collected by Marie Salmond, wife of George Salmond MA (St And), and presented by him in 1950. It consists mainly of facsimiles of early editions of works by Elizabethan authors, and includes facsimiles of the first collected edition of the works of Geoffrey Chaucer (1532) and of a number of early Shakespeare editions.
