Images of the J Maitland Anderson collection

J Maitland Anderson was Librarian (and at other times Secretary, Quaestor and Registrar) of the University of St Andrews from 1881-1925, as well as acting as Keeper of Muniments until his death. Anderson became an eminent historian of the University and St Andrews in general. The papers relate primarily to his publication of important sources for the history of the University.

Formal records of his position as Librarian are held within the UYLY muniment series. The Library also holds his rare book collection, see the Anderson Collection in the Rare Books.
