Individual manuscripts and small collections

Images of our individual manuscripts and small collections

This fascinating collection of unrelated archives has been acquired over the years by purchase, gift and deposit. It contains such diverse items as papyrii, a fine 15th century illuminated psalter, family pedigrees, literary and scientific manuscripts, travel journals, Auchinleck fragments, lecture notes, music, letters, religious texts, cookery books, rentals, as well as estate, family and business papers from medieval to modern times. Some of the larger collections are listed separately, but most of the smaller collections and individual items are grouped together under this heading in the online catalogue.
