University Library Special Collections

The Special Collections Division has been successful in gaining external funding worth over £1.5million since 1995. These grants have allowed us to make progress with retrospective conversion of manual catalogues, to create and develop both the manuscripts and photographic databases, and to digitise significant portions of the photographic collections. Work has been done to catalogue particular collections and to uncover some of the hidden treasures of our holdings.

Each project name here links to a short outline explaining its purpose and result of completed projects. We are continuing to bid for grants, so there is also a section on current projects.
