The Library is self-service. Search the Library collections or browse the shelves for books then take them to the self-issue machines (you'll also need your ID card) located on each floor of the Library. If you have any problems or questions, please ask at the Library Service Desk on Level 2 (the entrance floor of the Library).
Please return Short Loans using the self-service machines in the Short Loan area on Level 2 of the Main Library.
Normal or Multiple Copy books should be returned using the return machine on Level 2.
If the Library is closed, items can be returned through the book drop located outside the main door.
If you can’t get back to the Library to return books, please post them to us:

If the item you need is out on loan, recall it. When it is available for you, we'll email your University account and you can collect the item from the Hold Shelf in the Short Loan area. Please allow around 7 days for material to be returned.

Please note, an administration fee of £7.50 per item will be charged in addition to the replacement copy being provided.
