Dr Catriona McAra
Catriona joined the University as Assistant Director, Heritage Collections and Curation in 2021. She is a specialist in modern and contemporary art history, and is passionate about women in the arts, and creative, practice-based approaches to research and teaching. Originally from Edinburgh, Catriona’s career started with a PhD in History of Art from Glasgow University, and a postdoctoral fellowship at IASH, University of Edinburgh. Prior to her appointment at St Andrews, she was University Curator at Leeds Arts University where she led Curation and Library Services (2015-2021).
