Connecting to the University's visitor wireless network

The University has entered into a partnership with BT to deliver the BT Wi-Fi service throughout the University for those who do not have access to our educational network, eduroam.

Is BT Wi-Fi a free service?

For the summer period 1 June – 4 September 2017 only, this service is free.

Who can use BT Wi-Fi?

BT Wi-Fi should only be used by members of the public or non-academic visitors to the University and is not envisaged for use by University students, staff or academic visitors.

How to connect to BT Wi-Fi

To connect to BT Wi-Fi

  1. Search for the BT Openzone network on your device
  2. Connect to it and open a browser – this will take you to the University of St Andrews BT Wi-Fi landing page.
  3. Simply click on ‘Get Online’.
