The PSN (Mobile Telephone) agreement

The UK Government's Office of Government Commerce (OGC), via the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), has negotiated the PSN agreement with Vodafone, Orange and O2 to provide mobile telephone handsets and line rental at preferential rates.  The University of St Andrews has signed up to this agreement and IT Services, through the Telephone Office, can offer attractive prices on limited mobile phones, line rental and call charges for business use.

Data connections methods

There are various data connection methods currently available in the UK:  3G, 4G EDGE, UMTS, GPRS .  Depending on the mobile device you have, you will be able to access mobile data services using one or more of these technologies
