Microsoft Edge browser issue

There is bug in the Edge browser (which is the default browser on our classroom pcs) that is currently preventing users from saving files directly from links within Edge to their home directory. Workarounds are to use an alternative browser such as Chrome of Firefox, or open the file first and then save it to your preferred location rather than a direct download. Microsoft are looking to apply a fix in their next release. The IT Service Status page will be updated accordingly.

Phishing Emails warning; Please DO NOT RESPOND

Phishing is a type of deception designed to obtain personal information such as passwords, credit card or bank account details. If you receive an email message asking for your St Andrews user account password PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND, even if it appears to come from a trusted source such as the IT Service Desk here at St Andrews. IT Services will NEVER ask you for your password, and neither should any other legitimate source.
