Connect to the VPN

The VPN (virtual private network) client allows current staff and postgraduates to connect to the University network when working remotely. Once connected, you can access resources that would otherwise be restricted for those outwith the University, for example, your home drive.

If you are not a member of staff or postgraduate student but require access to the VPN, contact the IT Service Desk.

To connect to the VPN, you will first need to download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN to your device. Information on how to download the VPN to Mac and Windows devices is available below. To download the VPN to all other devices, you should download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client from your local app store, then connect using the instructions listed below for all devices. 

Students can access their home drive without connecting to the VPN.
