Teaching and Research Interests

Teaches late 19th and 20th century European and international history, with particular interests in French history, colonial history and decolonisation. Has published on the Algerian war of independence, and current research interests are in French colonial policies in the 20th century, French decolonisation, and the legacy and memory of empire in France.
