Jönss English was the brother of the mariner Carl English [SSNE 8544] who wrote from an unnamed merchant ship to his wife in Karlskrona in January 1696. Carl asked his wife to pass on good wishes to Jönss, a man whose status is unclear, The letter never delivered as it was intercepted.
