Richard Fletcher was an English officer. He first served in a company against the rebelling Northern Earls in 1569. He then served in the Low Countries under captains Edward Chester, Ralph Cromwell, and Sir Roger Williams in the Low Countries around 1572 to 1585. He served as a sergeant in the company of Captain Piggot and then as an ensign and lieutenant to Captain Clark in the Low Countries in the mid-1580s. He served as a lieutenant in the 1589 English armada against Portugal and then under Sir Francis Vere in the 1590s.
