William Danielson was a sailor from Leith serving under skipper Cornelis Claesz 't Melckmeijsgen on the Utrecht. He wrote in his will that one Jan Garner had shown him so much kindness that he would give him three months worth of his wages every year. Garner was also named his heir in case of Danielson's death. Danielson's shipmate, Cornelis Jansz from Bergen in Norway, served as witness to the testament.
