The Wolle family in Abo are described as being either German or Scots. Jacob junior was a merchant in Abo. He died in 1639. He had been married to the Scot, Ingeborg Williamsdotter Gairdner (although the author of the article appears to have forgotten that William Gairdner was a Scot - see p.209, and calls her a German)Veli-Pekka Toropainen, Skottirotta ja Ruotsin koira - Turun ulkomaalainen porvaristo vuosina 1600-1660 (Genos, 2003), pp.212-213; Sylvi Möller: Suomen tapulikaupunkien valtaporvaristoja sen kaupankäyntimenetelmät 1600-luvun alkupuolella (Helsinki 1954).
