Katarina (aka Karin) Thomasdottir Traill was a Scot, the daughter of Thomas Traill [SSNE 7517]. She had two sisters, Elin [SSNE 7510] and Margaretha [SSNE 7527].

Katharina married first to Alexander (Hebron) Hepburn [SSNE 7357] in Abo in Finland and then to Alexander Watson [SSNE 7537], also in Abo in the 1630s. Watson, through Katarina, introduced a supplication which may be about money owed by her first husband to the Crown, and the letter looks to be explaining some extenuating circumstance or saying that some part has been repaid or is expected to be repaid, and asking the Crown for a Confirmation of this. Enclosed is a previous letter from Alexander Hebron.
