Adam Mesterton was presumably related to (or a son of?) James Mesterton [SSNE 6696], although the records do not show a son named Adam.

In 1700 he is recorded as inhabiting a house which lies between Kråkansgränd and Bredgränden, leading down to Skeppsbron in Gamla Stan.

He is a close neighbour at this time of tobacco merchant Thomas Tottie [SSNE 6685], who lives at Skeppsbron 20, which corners onto Brunnsgränd, just two streets along from Mesterton.

There is a church record from Maria church parish noting that in November 1696 Thomas Cotti, a tobacco spinner, buried his wife in Adam Mesterton's grave. Loewe also gives Cotti's date of death as 1696.
