William was a Scottish goldsmith in Stockholm in the early decades of the 17th century. On 7 February 1617 his child was baptised at St Nikolai church in the town. Amongst the child's godparents were three unnamed Scottish captains and Erland Joensson's wife.Stockholm Stadsarkiv, St Nikolai kyrkas dopbok fran och med 1611 till och med 1622, p.34.
