Borick Tailour worked as one of the 'English' merchants in Hamburg in 1686. In September that year, David Melville Earl of Leven [SSNE 5000] briefly stayed with him while in exile. The fact he was prepared to help Melville suggests he was a hard core Protestant, though by Leven's own hand it is clear he could not give him any more help than hospitality
