Thomas Landelus was noted as a Scotsman from Glasgow who was enrolled at Heidelberg University in 1596. He was a graduate at the time, and a pauper. Fischer supplies this quote:" Die 15 Septembris 1596 ex senatusconsulto M. Thomas Landelus, Glegouiensis Scotus (jam quadragenarius et pauper), testimonium habens a senioribus et ministro ecclesiae at Pfalzburg (et nominatim commendatus a quadam dexteritate in curandis aegortis), receptus fuit per hyemem in domum Casimirianam hac lege, ne faciat medicinam (in urbe), sed theologiae del operam."
