Lieutenant Colonel Talbott served in Sir Jacob Astley [SSNE 3842] regiment in the army of the James Marquis of Hamilton [SSNE 1348] which was destined for Swedish service in June 1630. He was permitted to recruit for his own company in Essex, Sussex, Oxford, Strafford and Salop. He is recorded in the Swedish Intelligencer as a full colonel in 1631 and being shot in the shoulder at the attack on Creuznach castle.
