TALLFELL, ANTHONY [SSNE 6670]

Anthony Tallfell was one of the survivors of Colonel Thomas Conway's [SSNE 6634] illfated regiment of Irish recruits. Conway and others drowned in 1632 en route to Germany to enter Swedish military service. Tallfell and Major Thomas Grave [SSNE 3738] were ordered by Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna to be paid and then make their way to King Gustav II Adolf in GermanyRikskansleren Axel Oxenstiernas skrifter och brefvexling, first series, vol. 7, p.162.
