George Sandilands (known as Jören Sandala, and various other versions) was a member of the Scottish community in Stockholm in 1573 when he was noted in Stockholmsstads tankeboker along with Andrew Keith [SSNE 1534].
In 1575 George Sandilands was noted as Colin Maxwell's [SSNE 6660] "right-hand-man". Maxwell had been taken to court regarding his ship, the "Gyllene Dufva", which David Scott [SSNE 6601], his wife's mother and several others had invested in. Sandilands was ordered by the town magistrates to respond to David Scott's case. This may be the same man as George Sandilands who had taken a banner/flag at Nyköping in 1568 and who on 2 October that year received 100 "peningar" for it.
